Cookies, Cookies- Oh yeah

This is a song Lauren made up the other morning. Brennan was the back up singer and you can also hear Joshua in the background adding a couple "oh yeahs" in.

Lauren lost her 3rd tooth!

Last night Lauren lost her 3rd tooth. It was an emotional evening. I had given her some pretty big strawberries for dinner. Well, she bit into it and one of her loose teeth (she has 6) got REALLY loose. It was ready to come out, but was still attached a little bit and really hurt after biting the strawberry. I tried to wiggle it more and get it out, but she was totally crying and really upset. She was really afraid that it was going to hurt more than it already did. I gave her some Motrin and she went to bed. I told her not to get out of bed, but if it came out, she could come down and tell me. I walked out of her room and literally by the time I got to the kitchen she was walking in saying "Toothfairy-here is my tooth". I thought she was kidding, but it really came out. Now she was laughing and she said "I can't believe I was so dramatic Mommy". It was so cute. This is the first time she actually has a hole in her mouth, because the first two teeth she lost had the adult teeth all the way in behind them before baby ones fell out.

He is Risen!!!

Easter weekend was terrific. Friday was pretty emotional at our Good Friday service...remembering what Jesus did on the cross that day. I don't think we can ever truly grasp the love that God has for us...that He sent his son to pay the debt for our sin, so that we can spend eternity in heaven with Him. Sunday we REJOICED knowing that after 3 days He rose from the grave and is now in heaven preparing a place for us. Hallelujah! What a great day!!! We had a fun Easter Egg hunt at our house in the morning, went to church to celebrate and then went to my Aunt and Uncle's house for a family egg hunt and lunch. It was really hot that day. You can see in the family pic of us that the kids cheeks are really red. The sweet little baby with the dark hair is my precious niece Catia. She is 10 months. I didn't get a pic of my nephew Dominic.

Horseback riding at cousin Steve's house

The last Saturday of spring break we were able to go to my cousin's house and go horse back riding. It was their gift to Lauren for her birthday (back in October!). They have 10 or so horses and one of them (the one they rode) is getting ready to have a baby. She was a really mellow horse, so it was perfect. Lauren loved every second of it. She did not want to stop. They boys loved to horses, but they REALLY LOVED the dirt, tractor, bales of hay and carts they could play on. It was kid heaven! Brennan was hilarious and was saying "GIBBY UP"! I don't know if any of you have read Are You My Mother? with your kids, but if you have you know that the baby bird calls the tractor a snort, because that is the sound it makes. Well, that is what Brennan calls tractors..so he was so excited to see a snort! P.S. I don't know how to get extra pic of Joshua off of here. I am still figuring all of this out!

Spring Break Fun

We did lots of fun activities over spring break and also a couple big projects at home. One of the days we went to the zoo and had such a fun time. The weather was so beautiful and it was actually pretty chilly, so the animals were out and really active. We went into monkdy village and the kids just loved it. The little monkeys were going crazy chasing each other around and dive bombing each other. It was so funny. We also - well Greg sanded and restained the swing set. The kids got a chance to do it too, but I made them all wear a mask. Last time we did a big sanding project (our deck in OK), Greg's Dad helped us and ended up getting a spot on his lung or something from inhaling the sawdust. Everything turned out fine, but it was a little scary.

Is Daddy flying that all by himself?

Greg was home over spring break so we got to spend a lot of family time together. One of the activities we got to do was to watch Greg do touch and gos at William Gateway when he was flying with the Guard. We took a lunch and parked in this little construction area where there wasn't a lot of buildings blocking our view. The kids were so excited and were screaming and waving at Daddy when he flew by. They have seen him fly before, but as they get older they are asking more questions....hence the title of this posting. Brennan was giggling the whole time. This is kind of cheesy, but every time I see Greg fly I get all teary. I am just so proud of him.

Busy Weekend

Saturday morning we had Joshua's soccer game. It was great, because Greg actually got to coach the whole game. He is the assistant coach, but he doesn't get to be involved a ton, because he is gone during the week most of the time. I think Joshua really enjoyed it. Brennan wishes he could be out there, so after the game he takes his ball and runs around for awhile. I think he is going to follow in big brother's footsteps. Oh- Joshua is #6 in the video. Pretty cute stuff!

Lauren and Mackenzie.....and Brennan

This is Lauren with her sweet friend Mackenzie. We have known Mackenzie since she was almost 3 years old (Brennan's age) and now she is almost 9. They lived 4 houses down from us in Enid, OK and her mom and I (Katrina) hit it off instantly. The girls have been friends since. Katrina and Mackenzie are in town for a few days visiting Katrina's parents, so we made the haul across the valley (seriously...it is a haul to get to the West Valley from here..it takes over an hour...but well worth the drive Katrina!) to spend a couple hours with them. The kids had a great time and of course Brennan couldn't miss out on being silly in a photo. You gotta love it.

Kind of a funny/grose story....So Katrina's parents live in Sun Valley Grand in the winter. There are bunnys everywhere! So while the kids are playing Joshua tells me that there is a pa on the ground. We used to call pacifiers "pas", because that is what Lauren called it as a baby. I said "OK-well don't worry about it". Well...the kids picked something up and were kind of looking at it..and it was actually a bunny paw! Grose! Anyways, I guess I should check stuff out when Joshua is pointing stuff out to me.

Mowing with Daddy

Brennan loves to pretend to mow the grass and loves it even more to actually help Greg. He will hold on and mow the entire yard with him that way. I am sure that someday when he is older he probably will not enjoy it as much :).

Grandma's Baking Day at Schnepf Farms

Today Lauren participated in a baking class at a local farm called Schnepf Farms. She made AWESOME cinnamon rolls and a apple pie which we haven't tasted yet. We have Pillsbury cinnamon rolls every Sunday morning before church, so we are looking forward to having homemade ones tomorrow!

GOOOOOAL!!!!!

Today Joshua made his 1st goal. He actually made 2! Unfortunately Greg wasn't there and I didn't record it. Usually there is one little boy that makes most of the goals, but he wasn't there today so it seemed like more of the boys had an opportunity for it. I honestly wasn't expecting it to happen, so I wasn't recording!:)

Biddy up/Fast as Thunder vs. Fast as Frosting

I am so thankful that I get to be at home with the kids as a stay at home mom. It truly is a blessing. Don't get me wrong....there are VERY challenging days, but even with those days...I am grateful to be able to share in moments like these with the kids.
